Senior & Elder Caregiver Support: LIFE Senior Services

Caregiver Resources
& Support

Caregiving support daughter moFamily caregivers often play a critical role in helping their older loved ones gather information, navigate through decision-making and access services to improve their quality of life.

Whether you are a new or seasoned caregiver, offering occasional assistance or providing daily care, LIFE Senior Services is here to help. The article "Caregiving Basics and the Stages of Caregiving" is a good place to start learning about some of the basic considerations of eldercare.

We encourage family caregivers to arm themselves with reliable information and have candid family discussions early in the caregiving process. Talking things out before there is a health or financial crisis encourages families to make decisions without being under duress. The article "Talking About Important Life Issues" can help you plan for these important discussions.

If you are sensing that your loved one is slipping and may need help, but don't know where to start, please refer to the "Does My Loved One Need Help?" checklist. This checklist will help you determine if your concerns are warranted and give you some clues about the type of assistance your loved one may need.

If you've found your way to the LIFE website because your loved one is hospitalized, please read "Your Guide to Discharge Planning." It will give you some tips on transitioning from the hospital and planning for care needs after discharge.
