2020 Census

Everyone Counts, Everyone Wins! Oklahoma is counting on you.

Oklahoma stands to gain $1,675 per person per year of federal funding. Funding for several programs is based on Census data, including: Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP and TANF, School Funding - breakfast and lunch programs, Head Start and special education, hospitals, roads, bridges, and public transit.

The Census is easy and confidential.

  • The 2020 Census contains nine questions. It will take less than 15 minutes to complete.
  • You can respond online, by phone, or by filling out and mailing back the paper form.
  • By law, your information cannot be shared with anyone - not the FBI, IRS, ICE or any other agency.

Beware of fraud. A few helpful tips to avoid scams include:

  • The Census will not send unsolicited e-mails to request your participation in the 2020 Census.
  • The Census Bureau will never ask for:
    • Your social security number
    • Your bank account or credit card numbers
    • Money or donations
    • Anything on behalf of a political party

Final date for Census submission has changed from July 31, 2020 to September 30, 2020.
