Community Information & Assistance Training (CIAT): Ethics & Alzheimer's Communication Strategies
CIAT offers in-depth and up-to-date information for health, behavioral health and social service professionals who serve older adults. Topics are presented in three (3) one-day blocks: Government Programs, Resources for Seniors and Caregivers, and Ethics and Alzheimer’s Communication Strategies. Blocks are arranged so the information builds throughout the year. Ethical Considerations & The Age Wave
This presentation addresses ethical considerations in meeting the mental health needs of the “Age Wave”. Special attention will be given to the increased need to serve seniors with mental health challenges in any setting. Abuse, neglect and exploitation will be reviewed with an emphasis on what the lack of power and control looks like for vulnerable adults.
