As part of that commitment, LIFE offers a full slate of professional training opportunities and events every year, providing accurate and timely information about senior issues, resources and services. Frequent topics include Medicare and Social Security, Alzheimer's disease, legal planning and documents, elder abuse awareness and prevention, home and community-based services and behavioral health issues among many others.

Interdisciplinary Teams and Home and Community-Based Services: A PACE Model Explored

Interdisciplinary team (IDT) work is increasingly prevalent and is supported by policies and practices that bring care closer to the patient, challenging professional boundaries. Utilizing multiple disciplines in healthcare delivery will optimize the care, reduce costs and improve outcomes. CIAT offers in-depth and up-to-date information for health, behavioral health and social service
professionals who serve older adults. Topics are presented in three (3) one-day blocks: Government Programs, Resources for Seniors and Caregivers, and Ethics and Alzheimer’s Communication Strategies. Blocks are arranged so the information builds throughout the year. You are welcome to attend all of the days for a total of 18 hours of CEs, or you can choose the topics that work best for you and attend any day(s). Click here for an informational brochure.
